I was listening to "rock-on" movie songs on my mp3 player in the cab while going to office when my colleague, Shivaram asked me "KP ge barthiya? (Want to come to KP?)"
I took the ear phone from my ears and asked "what's that?"
He said "We are planning to go for trekking at Kumara Parvatha"
As a ray of smile reflected on my face i replied "Yeah definitely, why not?"
I asked him "For how many days are we going?"
He replied "we will leave on Friday night and return back on Monday morning"
I asked him again "Who all are going to come?"
He smiled and replied "Me, Guru, NagaBhushana and you"
As many thoughts started appearing in my mind about the trek. I had been for trekking before. In fact just a few months back I went on a trekking to Madhugiri Betta with Shivram, Guru and Nagabhushana. It is near Tumkur and a very good place for trekking.
That was Wednesday and we were planning to go on trekking to Kumaraparvatha for 2 days - Saturday and Sunday.
On that afternoon, Shivaram called me once again before he booked the tickets to Somvarpet to ask if I really wanted to come. I said "i will definitely come. go ahead and book the tickets".
After 5 minutes I got a mail from him with the information on tickets being booked.
Thursday passed by.
On Friday morning before I left for office I kept the dry cells for charging(I did not want to miss the beauty of the Kumaraparvatha). In the evening as soon as I reached home washed my face, had tea and then begin to pack things required for trekking. As a big list of things begin to scroll in my mind, I started arranging one by one on the table. I packed two sets of clothes, socks, cap, bedsheet, Jerkin. I took out the camera. I had asked my mom to prepare chapathi, avalakki(beaten rice), shenga chutney(a chutney powder made with groundnut), kadli chutney(a chutney powder made with putani).
